The conference proceedings contain the lectures of the international conference “Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality for Planning, Testing and Operation of Technical Systems”. The program focuses on both capabilities and developments in individual industries, as well as general trends in the basics, methods and tools of virtual technologies. Industry-related sessions this year included vehicle and aircraft development, factory and plant design, process industry, medical technology and biotechnology. An extensive focus was on dealing with the possibilities and requirements of technology-based qualification in business applications. In addition, we dealt with fundamental questions about the Digital Factory, applications of Virtual Engineering, the human-machine interaction and specific interaction techniques in VR / AR environments. The competence network ViVERA funded by the BMBF, the European competence network INTUITION and the EU project VIRTHUALIS were integrated into the conference.
