Mental illness- there are a lot of books about it. But nothing like this. Nothing that scrapes the bottom of the barrel of grief and mental instability as this book does. I couldn’t rip my eyes away if I tried. It’s formatted in a way that is so unique and interesting. It’s a love story? It’s a mystery? It’s a great work of literature that completely throws the reader for a loop again and again. I was a little confused by Cadence until the twist at the end. Her personality and actions made a lot more sense and endeared me to her even more.
